Rick and his wife Kelly are the driving force and thе family behind the Under the Weather brand. Together with their dedicated team of Pod specialists, they are driven to create innovative weather relief solutions that work every time, with proven results.
It all started when Rick’s children were young. Family hikes and outdoor excursions were sometimes ruined by bad weather or sudden downpours. Over the years he became obsessed with finding a solution. After years in the making, in 2010 he sketched out his first WeatherPod™ design on his way back from one of his kid’s soccer tournaments after he and other spectators sitting in 29-degree sleet, high winds, and freezing cold conditions were soaked to the bone. Combine a genius idea, Rick’s experience in the textile industry and Kelly’s experience in marketing with the tireless perfectionism of the entire Under the Weather team and you wind up with the best-in-class WeatherPods on the market.
Our Pods are durable, weather-resistant and will protect you from wind gusts, rain, snow, and the sun—even from nasty bug bites and germs! No matter the weather, you’ll be able to stay dry, comfortable, and be fully present.
Lightweight and super easy to pop open and fold down, you can take your Pod with you anywhere, wherever you need it: at the stadium, on the trail, on the beach, in the park, or at any outdoor event where weather protection is a must.
We engineer solutions that work no matter what—and work every time. We don’t compromise on quality and guarantee our Pods will last you a very long time by serving you faithfully in adverse weather conditions or on the job, wherever you choose to make unforgettable memories or need more comfort.
INITIATIVE
Our community is what inspires us and helps us move forward—and we’re looking for every opportunity to give back to it.
We’ve created UTWCares™ to partner with local non-profit organizations who share our vision that everyone needs a safe and inviting environment to find peace, comfort, hope, and support. There are families in our communities who are struggling with varied kinds of hardship—illness, loss, uncertainty—and those who just need a helping hand. We believe that everyone should be able to find safety and comfort to heal and flourish. That’s why we created UTWCares where we provide the right conditions to those who need them most and help raise awareness for those who are fragile.
